The Big DooWopper

Cornell Williams, aka THE BEST Doowopper, was created on November 13, 1953, in Grenada, MS. Created partly blind, he totally lost his view at age 17 because of cataracts. When he was six yrs . old he began acquiring piano lessons before shifting to Chicago along with his parents. Chicago revealed him towards the growing blues picture and gained him his nickname Doowopper, performing with his mom, father, plus some friends within a street part doo wop group, while his mom was a back-up vocalist who toured with B.B. Ruler, a big impact musically and individually to Doowopper. While we were young, Doowopper was signed up for Illinois College for the aesthetically handicapped, and he continuing to construct his performing and keyboard capability. After senior high school graduation in the first ’70s, he performed live music sporadically through the entire decade. By the first ’80s, he was doing your research crude demos with small response, while frequently performing over the sidewalks and teach channels of Chicago, sometimes gaining the unusual paying membership gig. When his demonstration finally reached the proper hands in 1999, he was presented with studio time and energy to trim his impressive edition of Prince’s “Crimson Rainfall,” overdubbing his gospelized keyboards and five component doo wop tranquility! This break finally allowed the discharge of his initial full length documenting All in the Pleasure over the Chicago structured Delmark label in 2000.
