Biography
The Beyond were a Derby, Britain quartet who specialized in highly technical rock bordering on thrash. John Whitby (vocals), Andy Gatford (electric guitar), Jim Kersey (bass), and Neil Cooper (drums) emerged jointly in 1988 and spent years honing their organic sound through comprehensive touring over the Uk club circuit. Ultimately, they agreed upon with EMI subsidiary Harvest for the discharge of 1992’s Crawl, but however, the album proceeded to go largely undetected. The band turned to Music for Countries because of their second work, Chasm, in 1993, but consistent consumer indifference eventually led these to rename themselves Gorilla and attempt a brand new start. 2 yrs and two badly received EPs afterwards, they finally quit for good.
