Biography

Combining a note of faith with components of alternative and pop music, the South African quintet the Benjamin Gate discovered success quickly after dedicating their concentrate on their job. Consisting of business lead vocalist Adrienne Liesching, guitarists Tag Paultz and Chris Poisat, bassist Costa Balamatsias, and drummer Nick Volsteedt, the group created in 1998, spurred to follow their musical ambitions following the death of the musician friend called Ben. The group quickly documented a demonstration and received airplay from this within their homeland. Their big break arrived when an EP that were delivered to the Claims for mastering discovered its method to Forefront, with a studio room engineer, as well as the take action was authorized to the label. Untitled, released in 2001, triggered a stir, especially inside the Christian music community, making reviews that are positive. Commercially, the recording were able to spawn a set of number 1 singles over the Christian rock and roll charts (“JUST HOW LONG” and “MOST OF Me”), in addition to “Lay down It Down,” which dropped one spot timid of the very best. Untitled also gained recognition by means of four Dove Honours. Entering the studio room for the follow-up, the group wished to try and catch a more-live, less-polished experience, and Contact appeared during the summer months of 2002.

3 His fiancé Natalie Portman gave birth to their first child, a son named Aleph, on June 14, 2011. The name Aleph is the first letter in the Hebrew alphabet equivalent to the letter "A".
4 In his first language, French, his last name means "thousand feet" - a very apt name for a dancer and choreographer.
5 Classically trained and studied at the School of American Ballet as a teenager.
