The Beau Marks

The Beau-Marks were launched in 1958; made up of vocalist/business lead guitarist Ray Hutchinson, tempo guitarist Mike Robitaille, drummer Gilles Tailleur and pianist Joey Frechette, the band’s third one, “Clap THE HANDS,” hit number 1 in Canada and Australia, and charted within the U.S. Invited to seem on American Bandstand, the quartet was also asked to try out a concert for charity at Carnegie Hall. The music group split up in 1963 after three albums: Great Traveling Beau-Marks (1960), The Beau-Marks personally Recorded on Area at Le Coq D’or (1961) along with a self-titled 1962 record.
