When Tony Isaacs, owner of Indian Home, heard the drum-accompanied singing of traditional native American group, the Ashland Performers, at a pow-wow in Eagle Bluffs, ND, he was therefore impressed with what he heard that he tracked the troupe straight down and signed these to a saving agreement. Although they just recorded one recording, The Ashland Performers: North Cheyenne Battle Dance, the energy from the Ashland Performers and the remarkable, vibrato-heavy, vocals of their past due lead vocalist, Harvey Whiteman, are lengthy remembered.
