The Articles certainly are a Detroit-area ska/jazz fusion music group who mix addresses of jazz criteria, in addition to ska classics, making use of their originals. The group was founded by brothers Derek (trumpet) and Paul Phelps (electric guitar), with the rest comprising alto saxophonist Mike Rehfus, tenor saxophonist Sean Stillwell, bassist Jim Hohner, and drummer Dan Margulis. Their debut record, Flip F’Real, premiered in 1997 by Moon Ska.
