The Arrivals

The Arrivals produced their full-length debut with Farewell New World over the Windy City’s Thick Information in 2000, emerging in the same Chicago punk picture that spawned Naked Raygun, Pegboy, Blue Meanies, and Alkaline Trio. Sounding an amalgam of the Midwestern predecessors, the South Aspect staff — Issac Thotz (electric guitar, vocals), Dave Merriman (electric guitar), Dave Kaktis (bass), and Ronni Dicola (drums) — met up in 1996 to self-produce their first EP, Music in the Cabal Head office. The North Hospitality single made an appearance in middle-2002 prior to the men returned early another year making use of their sophomore work, Exsenator Orange.
