Sunny pop band the Apples in Stereo system were among the leading lighting from the Elephant 6 Recording Company collective, a coterie of likeminded lo-fi indie groups — like the Olivia Tremor Control, Natural Milk Hotel, and Key Rectangular — who distributed musicians, ideas, and sensibilities.
