The Amnesia Quartet

The Amnesia Quartet formed in January of 1994 as a residence band because of their local Phoenix bookstore/show space referred to as the Metropophobobia (meaning concern with Phoenix). Original people Peter Ragan and David Oliphant would play two every week models of improved jazz and sound that was blended with an electronic manipulation of tape loops and samplers. By 1995, Joe Willie Smith and Alan Jones became apart of the troupe because they added woodwind musical instruments such as for example flutes, saxophones, and clarinets towards the band’s percussion, guitars, and a live Television, amongst other things that they will make sound out of. By enough time the Metropophobobia shut its doorways in Dec of 1999, Agni Information got released The Amnesia Quartet’s initial album entitled Kitty Head Chimes, that was a documenting taken from many of their every week improvised live models.
