The American Black Lung

The American Dark Lung met up in 2003 and began blasting a cocky and hard-hitting mixture of hardcore, metal, and garage rock from their hometown of Tucson, Arizona. With affects including Dark Flag, the MC5, Norma Jean as well as the Stooges, the music group — made up of vocalist Gemstone Rhino, guitarist/vocalist Johnny Detroit, bassist/vocalist Dhusty Rhodes, guitarist Easy E, and drummer W. Moon — released its debut full-length, …And They Rode Their Weaponry Into Battle, in August 2006 on regional indie Burning Home Records. Coinciding using the album’s launch, the group also spent that summer season playing dates for the annual Warped Tour. Several months later on, the American Dark Lung had authorized a cope with Laguna Seaside, California’s Uprising Information, the label which Sudden Departure of Vultures surfaced the next July. Summer season was again offered the road using the Warped Tour. Moon produced his departure immediately after, and by early 2008, Rudy Streams had used his place behind the drum package.
