The Agony Picture hail from Tulsa, OK, where they formed in the beginning of the new millennium, split up, made up, and finally recorded a self-titled debut album, released by independent Good State Information, in 2003. At the moment, the band contains vocalist Michael Williams, guitarists Christopher Emmons and Johnny Lloyd, bassist Matthew Shannon, and drummer Brent Experts, and although said album included fairly run-of-the-mill metallic deathcore, the quintet still were able to rating a cope with rock powerhouse Roadrunner Information because of its sophomore work, The Darkest Crimson. Released in-may 2005, pursuing Lloyd and Shannon’s departure and substitute by Steven Kaye (electric guitar) and Brian Hodges (bass), this record showed little innovative development over its forerunner, and fulfilled with only somewhat less open public indifference, regardless of the Agony Scene’s high-profile travels to get Danzig and Lamb of God afterwards that year. Affirmed, the under-performing group was shortly lowered by Roadrunner, but ultimately resurfaced in 2007 (after inviting brand-new bassist Chris Rye and drummer Ryan Folden, plus Brian Hodges’ proceed to second electric guitar) with a fresh album, Obtain Damned, released by Hundred years Media. On your final take note, the Agony Picture have often insisted they are not really actually a Christian music group, irrespective of name and lyrics that recommend exactly this.
