The A-Sides

Philly-based popsters the A-Sides shaped in 2002 and quickly proceeded to accomplish a couple of factors right. Their initial 7″ one (on Scranton, PA’s Jail Jazz Information) was plucked up by Tough Trade within the U.K. and garnered the group oodles of wonderful press stateside. Manufacturer Brian McTear (matt fish-pond PA, Mazarin) had taken notice aswell and helmed the group’s initial full-length, Hello, Hello, which pressed the A-Sides’ eclectic pop sensibilities even more forwards in 2005. Using the lineup of Jon Barthmus (vocals/electric guitar/tips), Mike Flemming (bass/vocals), Patrick Marsceill (drums/vocals), Charlie Cottone (electric guitar/vocals), and Christopher Doyle (tips/acoustic guitar/percussion) firmly set up, the A-Sides continuing to improve their radio and touring existence. In 2007 Vagrant Information released the group’s sophomore recording, Silver Storms.
