Biography

Hailing from Tilburg, Holland, Textures are an inventive melodic metalcore sextet that expands (and somewhat humanizes) the oppressive progressive death steel design of Meshuggah by incorporating dark melodies and keyboard-led atmospheric passages to their off-kilter rhythmic patterns and near-hardcore aggression. Made up of Eric Kalsbeek (vocals), Jochem Jacobs (electric guitar/vocals), Bart Hennephof (electric guitar), Richard Rietdijk (keyboards), Dennis Aarts (bass), and Stef Broks (drums), Textures shaped in 2001 and spent a lot of the following 2 yrs honing and rehearsing this uncommon sonic hybrid in to the tracks creating 2004’s self-released Polars debut, that was soon found and reissued by Listenable Information. Two years afterwards, Textures returned using a sophomore record named Sketching Circles, which offered because the debut for brand-new vocalist Eric Kalsbeek. A fresh bassist, Remko Tielemans, was released on 2008’s Silhouettes, that was the very first Textures outing to seem for the Dutch graphs. More lineup adjustments were manufactured in 2010, with keyboardist Rietdijk getting changed by Uri Dijk, and business lead singer Kalsbeek departing the flip and brand-new vocalist Daniël de Jongh (former mate- Cilice) signing up for the group. The next year the music group released their 4th studio long participant, the Nuclear Blast-issued Dualism. In 2016, the music group released Phenotype, their 1st installment within an ambitious, two-part conceptual piece, with programs to drop the next installment, Genotype, in 2017.
