Terry & Gerry

Although they hardly ever broke to commercial success, Terry & Gerry were among England’s most exciting bands from the ’80s. Their demonstration tape led to a high-profile BBC program with popular disk jockey and maker John Peel off and trips in Holland, Belgium, america, and the uk. Created in the middle-’80s, Terry & Gerry displayed the combined eyesight of bassist/vocalist and songwriter Terry Lilley and vocalist Gerry Colvin. Lilley experienced previously performed having a punk music group, Dennis & the Din Manufacturers, in 1978, and with Eyesight Collision, an organization that lent its products and rehearsal space from Duran Duran. Despite their potential, Terry & Gerry didn’t surpass objectives and separated after two unsatisfactory albums. Lilley continued to be the just double-bass participant in Britain to earn an increased nationwide diploma in jazz research. Colvin resurfaced within an acoustic duo that he stocks with Nick Quarmby. A fresh album, Let’s Obtain the Hell Back again to Lubbock, made an appearance in 2007 from Cherry Hill Information.
