Tenpole Tudor were 1 the strangest and silliest groupings on Stiff Information, a label which was known because of its oddball customers. Led by Eddie Tudor (delivered Edward Tudorpole), a previous professional who could hardly bring a tune, the group performed an assortment of punk, root base rock and roll, pop, and United kingdom dancehall music, creating a completely entertaining and absurd style. Tudor shaped the music group in 1974 with guitarist Bob Kingston, bassist Dick Crippen, and drummer Gary Long. Before saving the band’s initial record, Tudor appeared within the Sex Pistols’ film The Great Rock and roll ‘n’ Move Swindle, performing “Who Wiped out Bambi.” After launching an individual on Korova Information, the group became a member of the Stiff roster, launching “Three Bells within a Row.” Tenpole Tudor released their debut record, Eddie, Aged Bob, Dick and Gary, in 1981; it marketed well, releasing two minimal singles furthermore to “Three Bells within a Row”: “Wunderbar” and “Swords of one thousand Guys.” That same season, the group released its second record, Allow Four Winds Blow, which also performed well. The next season, Eddie Tudor split up Tenpole Tudor; while he led a Cajun-inspired edition of Tenpole Tudor, all of those other music group became the Tudors. Following the brand-new incarnation of Tenpole Tudor failed, Tudor still left Stiff Information and began executing in jazz and golf swing bands, in addition to returning to performing. New variations of Tenpole Tudor had been assembled through the entire following years, although Tudor chiefly centered on performing until 2009, when he released the band’s third record.
