Tenderloin

A hearty slab of Middle American boogie-down blues, Tenderloin featured steer-sized business lead singer/harmonica participant Ernie Locke, fresh from amount of time in another Lawrence, KA, organization, the LAS VEGAS Disciples. In 1993, Locke installed with brothers Grey and Brock Ginther (on electric guitar and bass, respectively) and drummer Man Stephens to record the band’s debut, ALLOW IT Leak, that was found by Warner Bros. However the music group splintered and Locke recruited three brand-new members because of their Warner follow-up, including Reverend Horton High temperature drummer Patrick “Taz” Bentley; the Rev’s electric guitar technology, Kirk St. Adam on electric guitar; and bassist John Cutler. With Locke’s butt-crack and Buddha-belly baring stage display leading a furious roadhouse rock and roll attack, the music group backed their 1995 second record, Bullseye, touring with kindred spirits the Supersuckers. Nevertheless, Warner fell them another year. They installed with indie Period Bomb because of their self-titled swan melody in 1997, officially splitting up the following calendar year. Locke and Cutler continued to form a fresh Lawrence-area music group, Parlay.
