Teddybears STHLM

Biography

Teddybears STHLM spent a lot of the ’90s being truly a misguided publicity achievement. The video clips got interest and members through the group appeared frequently on TV, however the albums didn’t sell. Therefore in 2000 they got one big stage in to the mainstream and have scored a huge hit with Rock and roll ‘n’ Move Highschool. Vocalist Patrik Arve shaped the group being a hardcore trio in 1991 alongside the brothers Joakim Åhlund and Klas Åhlund. Shortly drummer Olsson became a member of and in 1993 they released their debut, YOU HAPPEN TO BE Teddybears. The record did not obtain much attention however the one “Step onto it” became a hit. It got three years release a the follow-up, I CANNOT Believe It’s Teddybears STHLM, this time around made by Christian Falk. Right now the music group had got their name popular through movies and by taking part in several hip Television shows, but this record didn’t sell very much either. In 1997 Reprise demonstrated interest to make an record with Teddybears STHLM for the American marketplace, but after documenting a dozen tracks the task was canceled, and in the later ’90s the bandmembers had been busy in various other tasks. The Åhlunds used Caesars Palace, and Joakim also proved helpful for Television and produced music videos. The final record by Teddybears STHLM got still been hardcore, but digital elements had began to impact the music group, a thing that became apparent with the discharge of the one “Before My Period” in 1999. This is an unusual mixture of large distorted guitars and dub reggae beats, and instantly became popular. Daddy Boastin’, who got previously caused the Latin Kings, toasted for the one. The record that was likely to follow the one had not been released before summer 2000, however when it emerged it was an enormous success. Rock and roll ‘n’ Move Highschool used a number of the materials documented in 1997, as well as the digital influences got bloomed, with Casio riffs, loops, and prepared voices. Several artists made visitor appearances for the record, like Thomas Rusiak, Elephant Guy, and Harry Young child, and gone had been the hardcore guitars as well as the shouting within the refrains; catchy melodies and high mass media exposure ensured the record was among the best-selling of the entire year. And that subsequently granted the music group a minimum of four Swedish Grammy Honours.
