The prototype bassist and a popular of Charlie Parker’s, Teddy Kotick preferred supporting the frontline and interacting within the rhythm section to displaying his considerable skills on solos. He previously to become prodded in to the limelight by such bandleaders as Costs Evans and Horace Sterling silver, despite his significant capability. Kotick was being among the most dependable accompanists of his time, a new player whose timing was impeccable and build large and assertive. He was generally an in-demand bassist who continued to be busy throughout the majority of his profession. Kotick began monitoring electric guitar at six, after that considered bass in senior high school. He proved helpful in New Britain before shifting to NY in 1948.
