Having a sound influenced by ’70s and ’80s funk with a supplementary helping of Prince, singer Teddy Brent came around the scene in 2008 using the infectious track “Vanity.” After developing up in suburban Detroit, Brent relocated to Decatur, IL, and went to Milliken University.
