A Glasgow, Scotland progressive rock-band formed in the later 60s, Rip Gas initially comprised Eddie Campbell (keyboards), Zal Cleminson (electric guitar), Chris Glen (bass, vocals), Gilson Lavis (drums) and Andi Mulvey (vocals). Mulvey got previously sung with regional defeat group the Poets. After changing off their first name, Mustard, they decided to go with Tear Gas being a variation on a single theme.
