Tcheka was created Manuel Lopes Andrade on July 20, 1973, within the isle of Santiago in the Cape Verde archipelago, the boy of violinist Nho Raul Andrade. He started to perform along with his dad while still a kid. At age group 15, he considered the design of batuque, developing his personal modern edition of the original rhythm through the isle of his delivery. He released his 1st recording, Argui! (“rise” or “operate”), through the Lusafrica label in 2003, pursuing it with Nu Monda (“weeding”) in 2005. In June 2007, he toured THE UNITED STATES starting for Césaria Évora.
