Tatvamasi

Created in 2013, Polish jazz-rock quartet Tatvamasi are led by Grzegorz Lesiak, a guitarist/composer who 1st obtained recognition in folk circles, focusing on traditional musics of Central and Eastern Europe, including Poland and Ukraine. Ania z Zielonego Wzgórza (Anne of Green Gables), an award-winning group that mixed components of reggae and jazz using the folk music of Silesia, a historic region now break up between present-day Poland, Germany, as well as the Czech Republic, was co-founded by Lesiak and vocalist Anna Kielbusiewicz in 2000. Tragically, in Dec 2003 a vehicle accident stated Kielbusiewicz’s life, and in addition seriously hurt Lesiak, who essentially continued a protracted hiatus from your music picture for another a decade.
