Biography
Bronx-native Tarsha Vega parlayed her childhood fascination with music and dance right into a career when she was introduced to Pop Rox, aka Duke Mushroom as well as the Freshmaka, who required a lady singer for a few of the paths on the Warriors album. Impressed with her tone of voice in addition to her innovative, uplifting lyrics, they helped her with her very own music. Legendary songwriter Carole Ruler was another coach/collaborator on Vega’s 2001 debut record Diamond jewelry and Monsters, that was preceded with the 2000 single End up being Ya Self.
