Tarrus Riley

Probably one of the most promising of the next era of Jamaica origins reggae performers, Tarrus Riley may be the child of Jimmy Riley, who also has had an extended career like a single artist in addition to being a past person in the Uniques as well as the Methods. Like his dad, Riley includes a nice, nuanced tenor vocal design, although his initial reference to the Jamaican music picture was being a DJ (beneath the name Taurus). Riley trained himself to try out keyboards and many percussion musical instruments and began composing his own tracks, a lot of which got solid Rastafarian and consciousness-leaning designs. His first record, Challenges, was made by the fantastic Jamaican saxophonist Dean Fraser and released on Yaman Information.
