Taragana Pyjarama can be an alias of Copenhagen, Denmark-based maker Nick Kold Eriksen, who also recorded as Eim Ick. After his debut as Eim Ick, he turned to Taragana Pyjarama and, influenced by famous brands Four Tet and Wayne Holden, continued to build up his colorful and layered method of electronic music. Mainly suited for house listening with periodic flashes of DJ charm, TP’s first launch was a five-track EP released within the French imprint Fool Home in Apr 2011. Provided the complicated, melodic audio of songs like “Ladies” and “Sea,” one wouldn’t possess most likely guessed that Eriksen once left behind formal music teaching. One number knocked out from the EP was Michael Mayer, who authorized the maker towards the venerable Kompakt label. Tipped Bowls, a succinct recording that ranged from beat-less ambient to dancefloor materials, was released in June 2012.
