Riding the range between Fights’ proggy electro jams and Vampire Weekend’s tropical pop, Brooklyn duo Tanlines began being a remix task by Eric Emm (Don Caballero, Surprise & Stress and anxiety, Brothers) and Jesse Cohen (Professor Murder) that included friends performing over their music. It advanced quickly right into a music group, with Emm acquiring the frontman function and singing in most of their debut EP, Configurations, that was released in March of 2010 on Accurate Panther.
