Tanlines

Riding the range between Fights’ proggy electro jams and Vampire Weekend’s tropical pop, Brooklyn duo Tanlines began being a remix task by Eric Emm (Don Caballero, Surprise & Stress and anxiety, Brothers) and Jesse Cohen (Professor Murder) that included friends performing over their music. It advanced quickly right into a music group, with Emm acquiring the frontman function and singing in most of their debut EP, Configurations, that was released in March of 2010 on Accurate Panther. After coming back from a Western european tour helping the record, the duo discovered that the building that housed their house studio have been marketed, which lent the periods for their initial record a poignant gravity as well as the music shown the displacement and following maturation from the music group. The causing Mixed Feelings was blended by Jimmy Douglass (Timbaland, Roxy Music, Aaliyah) and released in early 2012 on Accurate Panther. Their follow-up LP Features found its way to 2015.
