Because the son of Figure Who/BTO guitarist Randy Bachman, Canadian-born pop singer/songwriter Tal Bachman grew up within a music environment, absorbing the breadth of his father’s enormous record collection and teaching himself to try out guitar. He more and more lost curiosity about music as a teenager, however, and rather went on to review political school of thought at a little school in Utah. The move didn’t last lengthy, as Bachman eventually quit college and came back to his indigenous Vancouver in 1995 to begin with writing music.
