Tahiti Boy and the Palmtree Family

Parisian indie pop provocateur David Sztanke (aka Tahiti Son) remaining his research in France to review music at NY City’s esteemed performing arts conservatory Juilliard. It had been there that he laid the foundations for his genre-bending retro-pop clothing Tahiti Boy as well as the Palmtree Family members, a constantly revolving collective that dutifully spins psych-tinged ’70s melodies into modern-day indie pop confections. Tahiti Boy as well as the Palmtree Family’s debut recording, Good Children Head to Heaven, found its way to 2008, accompanied by 2009’s 1973 EP, which presented appearances from Television for the Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe and Justice’s Xavier de Rosnay.
