Vocalist Xavier Boyer and bassist Pedro Resende formed the Parisian pop combo Tahiti 80 in 1993 while students in the University or college of Rouen, bonding on the effectiveness of their shared affinity for the music from the Uk Invasion era. A small number of demos adopted prior to the duo recruited guitarist Mederic Gontier in 1994, and with the help of drummer Sylvain Marchand a 12 months later on, the lineup was total. Implementing their name from a souvenir T-shirt directed at Boyer’s father throughout a 1980 a vacation to the Polynesian islands, Tahiti 80 released their debut EP, 20 Moments, in 1996. The I.S.A.A.C. EP adopted, and in middle-2000 Minty New released the band’s 1st full-length work, Puzzle. Heartbeat Remixies was released that fall, with Extra Parts pursuing in early 2001. The abstract and creative sound of Wallpaper for the Spirit made an appearance in 2002.
