Pece Atanasovski was, until his pension in the 1990s, among Macedonia’s leading folk music artists and the first choice from the folk orchestra of Radio Skopje, with whom he played the gadja, a bagpipe-like device. Although retired, he works a popular summer time workshop on gadja playing.
