T. Tommy Cuter

b. Thomas Clinton Cutrer, 29 June 1924, Osyka, Mississippi, USA, d. 11 Oct 1998, Gallatin, Tennessee, USA. Cutrer’s hoped-for profession being a footballer was finished during his senior high school times by osteomyelitis. He spent a few months convalescing, where time he made a decision to pursue a profession in radio. He do menial duties at channels in New Orleans and Jackson before attaining an announcer’s post with KARK Small Rock and roll in 1943. He relocated to Memphis around 1945, where he done both WMC and WREC. He previously some experience being a vocalist and in the past due 40s, he produced his first music group, the Rhythm Children. In the first 50s, he done channels in Houston, before shifting to KCIJ Shreveport in 1952. In 1954, while on his method to Nashville to operate for WSM, he was involved with a serious incident that resulted in him getting a knee amputated. He quickly retrieved and done WSM being a disk jockey and in addition as an announcer over the Grand Ole Opry. In 1976, he converted his attentions to politics and stood for Congress, getting beaten by Al Gore. Then successfully obtained election towards the Condition Senate, where he offered until 1982.
