Syclops

With tracks “written, arranged, and produced” from the prolific Maurice Fulton, Syclops is presented as an organization — featuring, in a variety of capacities, Sven Kortehisto, Hanna Sarkari, Jukka Kantonen, and Severi Pyysalo, most of whom could possibly be fabricated by their manufacturer — that debuted in 2001 using a 12″ single (“The Abdoer”) on Fulton’s BubbleTease label and resurfaced with a set of additional singles for Tirk (“Mom, the Video Broke,” “The Fly”) ahead of issuing a 2008 album (I’ve Got My Eyesight you) for DFA. Much like a lot of Fulton’s result, Syclops could possibly be loosely referred to as left-field home; lots of the monitors are designed on bruising drums and searing synthesizer lines with playful agreements that chew up up and spit out 30 years of dance music — slick space-age funk, disco, electro, home, techno.
