Sweethead

An all-star hard rock and roll unit shaped in 2008 by vocalist Serrina Sims and Queens from the Rock Age, AN IDEAL Circle, and Failure guitarist Troy Vehicle Leeuwen, Los Angeles-based Sweethead also features the skills of bassist Eddie Nappi (Attractive) and drummer Norm Stop (Plexi), both of whom also play with the Tag Lanegan Band. Acquiring their name from David Bowie’s dropped Ziggy Stardust-era solitary “Sweet Mind,” the music group draws motivation from traditional punk, goth, glam, and alt-rock, with Vehicle Leeuwen’s distinctive acoustic guitar playing and Nappi and Block’s insistent tempo work providing an ideal platform for Sims’ sultry tone of voice. The group released an EP, THE FANTASTIC Disruptors, in July of 2009, using their eponymous debut lengthy player arriving later on that November. A set of EPs, Change Exorcism! and Mortal Stress, adopted in 2013 and 2015, respectively.
