Sweater Girls

Sweater Young ladies are an indie pop group from LA who take motivation from noisy indie poppers like Dark Tambourine as well as the Store Assistants, but also sweethearts just like the Softies and a variety of Amelia Fletcher-led tasks. Composed of vocalist/guitarist Diana Meehan, bassist Cary Chafin (who changed unique bassist Allan Kingdom), drummer Jackie Teran, guitarist Joey Teran, and Tatiana Sanchez on vocals, key pad, and glockenspiel, the music group formed in ’09 2009 and quickly captured the hearing of Georgia-based pop label Happy Happy Birthday if you ask me. The music group released its 1st single (“Perform the Sweater”) in Feb of 2010, after that adopted it up with another (“Very When You Smile”) in August. After playing the NYC Popfest in springtime of 2011, the music group had a comparatively quiet yr. They came back in 2012 having a cover from the Jonathan Richman music “I’m just a little Dinosaur” (for the Pop! For Children Task) and their debut recording, Sweater Girls Had been Here…. It had been produced by previous Mighty Lemon Drops member David Newton and released on Content Happy Birthday if you ask me in September.
