SWA

Mixing the punk noises from the SST label (Black colored Flag, Minutemen) with those of ’70s hard rock and roll sludgemeisters, SWA debuted in 1985 together with your Future (WHEN YOU HAVE One). Led by previous Dark Flag bassist Chuck Dukowski and vocalist Merrill Ward, the group released Sex Dr. the next year and added guitarist Sylvia Juncosa (also with To Damascus). XCIII implemented in 1987, and Progression 85-87 summed in the initial three albums. Juncosa still left soon after to begin with a solo profession, with Phil Truck Duyne changing her on 1989’s Wintertime. It had been SWA’s last record, though Juncosa released single albums in 1988 and 1989.
