Sushirobo

Acquiring their initial cues from late-’70s art punk, Seattle’s Sushirobo performs angular, funky pop music that recalls rings like Devo and Cable, but with today’s twist of their very own. The majority of their tracks are not created therefore, but will be the consequence of jamming and improvising, that is after that refined into tracks. Like a trio comprising Arthur Roberts (acoustic guitar, vocals), Barry Shaw (drums), and Clay Martin (bass), they released their debut EP, Actions Causes More Problems Than Idea in 2001. Adding guitarist Dave Einmo, they released Drawings and Garbage Constructions in 2002, and adopted that up a yr later using the Light-Fingered Sense of Sushirobo.
