Biography

Mexican singer/actress Susana Zabaleta discovered success in a number of mediums, including music in addition to cinema, television, theater, and opera. Frequently characterized being a sensual vamp, Zabaleta is really a multi-talented performer whose musical result is as mixed as her general profession, though she will favour interpretations of well-known songs and present tunes. Delivered Susana Zabaleta Ramos on Sept 30, 1964, in Monclova, Coahuila, Mexico, she went to Escuela Better de Musica de Monterrey, Mexico, and in addition researched opera in Florence, Italy. She set up herself appropriately with performances within the operas La Traviata, Elixir de Amor, and Dido con Aeneas. Through the middle-’80s, she turned from opera to musical movie theater and performed in some productions: Barnum (1986), Un Violinista en un Tejado (1986), Magnolias de Acero (1988), Mi Vida Sera Mi Vida (1988), Don Quijote de la Mancha (1988), Sorpresas (1989), and Qué Herbón (1989). In 1991 Zabaleta was solid inside a star-making part as Jellylorum within the Spanish-language version of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Pet cats staged in Mexico Town. Also in 1991, she made an appearance within the telenovelas Al Filo de la Muerte, Milagro con Magia, and Cadenas de Amargura. In 1992 she documented her debut single recording, ¿…O Fue el Sueño?, in Madrid with maker Luis Carlos Esteban. Ultimately released in 1994 by BMG, the recording spawned several singles (“Ella con Un,” “Traéte Tu Almohada,” “Algo Grande”) that videos had been filmed. In 1995 she was presented on the soundtrack documenting for the Spanish-language version of Disney’s Pocahontas, performing the central theme track “Colores en un Viento” (“Colours of the Blowing wind”). In 1996 Zabaleta starred within the award-winning horror film Sobrenatural (released with British subtitles as Most of Them Witches), aimed by her spouse, Daniel Gruener, and in addition appeared within the telenovela La Sombra del Otro. In 1997 she released her second recording, Desde un Baño, and made an appearance within the film Elisa Antes del Fin del Mundo. In 1998 she came back to television having a starring part within the telenovela Una Luz en un Camino. In 1999 she made an appearance within the celebrated film Sexo, Pudor con Lágrimas (released with British subtitles as Sex, Pity & Tears), that she received an Ariel Honor for Best Celebrity; general, the critically acclaimed comedic episode received six Ariel Honours and was nominated for seven others. In 2000 she made an appearance within the musical Un Hombre de la Mancha as well as the telenovela Mi Destino Eres Tú. In 2001 Zabaleta starred within the passionate humor Vivir Mata. In 2002 she released a set of albums (Un Pasado Nos Vuelve a Pasar and Navidad) and starred within the Spanish-language version from the Vagina Monologues (Los Monólogos de la Vagina). In 2003 she voiced the part of Marina within the Spanish-language version of Disney’s Sinbad. In 2004 she released the recording Quiero Sentir Bonito, adopted in 2005 by Em virtude de Darle Cuerda al Mundo. In 2006 she released De la A a la Z, a double-CD/Dvd and blu-ray live show with renowned Mexican composer/pianist Armando Manzanero. In 2007 she released the record Te Busqué, a assortment of well-known tune interpretations, and starred in it series Sexo con Otros Secretos, a Televisa present modeled following the well-known American series Sex in the town and Desperate Housewives.
