Supergenerous

Biography

Comprised of the quirky mix of Brazilian percussionist Cyro Baptista and Canadian guitarist Kevin Breit, Supergenerous combines the noises of jazz with folk customs from both countries. The effect is really a crazy soup of maritime, samba, and nation styles that’s shook up by Baptista’s treasure trove of percussion devices, including surdo, Balinese gongs, symphonic bass drums, cowbells, metallic refrigerator drawers, snare drums, and cymbals, amongst others. Their self-titled debut recording premiered in nov 2000 by Blue Notice.
