The Super Wanyika Superstars were formed in 1981 when vocalist Issa Juma left Les Wanyika and installed with several members of Orchestra Jobiso. The ’80s had been a successful 10 years on their behalf until Juma experienced a heart stroke in 1988 and made a decision to retire.
