Super Biton de Ségou

Produced in 1952, this group features largely contemporary instrumentation (brass, guitars, drums, synths) and performs music predicated on traditional Bambara rhythms. They toured European countries many times in the first ’80s, led by trumpet participant Madaou Ba, and so are mostly of the big rings to survive in to the ’90s.
