Sunset Room

The SoCal trip-hop outfit Sunset Area formed in the later ’90s when founding members Adam Flores (drums) and Tim Rumbaugh (bass) made a decision to provide their love for Portishead and Morcheeba towards the forefront. Tinkering with components of jazz, electronica, and acoustics, Sunset Area was produced a trio when vocalist Catie Moore was put into the flip in 1998. Another few years had been spent playing gigs around Orange State and composing materials to get a debut album. Nearly an Angel, Sunset Room’s self-produced first record, premiered in Dec 2001, as the solitary “Empty Areas” became a mainstay over numerous Internet r / c.
