The choice CCM band SUNSHINEY DAY Roses originally featured vocalist Suki Chaney, lead guitarist Lewis Richey, ex-Farewell to Juliet guitarist Jeff Elbel, bassist Dave Pinkston and drummer Jonathan Edwards. Created in LA circa 1993, the group released their debut recording bLOOMsHINe! in 1996; Chaney remaining SUNSHINEY DAY Roses immediately after to spotlight starting a family group, and was changed by vocalist Janet Lund.
