Sunflower Dead

An elastic steel unit based away of Long Seaside, California who create a contemporary rock and roll radio-ready mixture of nu/alt-metal, greasepaint-heavy horrorcore, and groove-laden, melodic hard rock and roll, Sunflower Dead provide the wicked, but they’re even more Kiss than Marilyn Manson. Shaped in 2012 across the abilities of vocalist/accordionist Michael Del Pizzo, business lead guitarist Jaboo (Two Strike Creeper), guitarist Jamie Teissiere (Droid), bassist Leighton “Lats” Kearns (Memento), and drummer Jimmy Schultz (IN THIS PARTICULAR Second), the music group released its mythology-driven, eponymous debut recording in 2012 via Bloody Bat Information. Their sophomore outing, 2015’s It is time to Obtain Weird, was made by Dave Fortman (Evanescence, Slipknot, Godsmack), and presented a visitor appearance by Korn vocalist Jonathan Davis.
