Summer’s End

After failing woefully to obtain careers off the bottom with short-lived NJ bands like Abysmal Gates and Bloodstream Runs Cool, vocalist Josh Hansen and guitarist John Letzkus came back with their native Washington D.C. in 2002 and vowed to start out anew. Naming themselves Summer’s End, they started composing music in what they thought as a “horror-core” design, but which most listeners would immediately identify as nearly completely hardcore-free, metallic death-thrash. Then they recruited tempo guitarist Paul Macatee, bassist Bucky Griffin, and drummer David Eaton to begin with touring with several East Coast rock bands and documented a self-titled debut record with manufacturer Eric Rachel. This is ultimately released in early 2005 yourself of Hope Information, but at that time, the founding duo acquired reconfigured Summer’s End’s lineup to add new tempo guitarist Brian Mitchell, ex-the Burning up Period bassist Dave Clarke, and previous Wall space of Jericho drummer Alexei Rodriguez.
