Sullivan

A melodic emo music group with an overtly Christian ensemble with their lyrics, Sullivan sticks towards the straightforward, SUNSHINEY DAY True Estate-inspired end of emo rather than the increasingly prominent post-hardcore and screamo rings. Sullivan shaped in 2002, originally across the songwriting duo of vocalist and guitarist Brooks Paschal and bassist Zach Harward, who had been writing and documenting songs by using a drum machine. The duo changed their mechanised friend with actual live drummer Phil Chamberlain (whose sibling, Spencer Chamberlain, may be the lead vocalist in Christian screamo clothing Underoath) and added second guitarist Tyson Shipman in 2004; Chamberlain and Shipman experienced previously worked collectively in the metalcore take action This Works Through with Chamberlain’s sibling. Sullivan’s self-released demonstration EP, Count enough time in Quarter Shades, attracted the interest of Christian alternate label Teeth and Nail Information, which authorized Sullivan in 2005 and earned Underoath maker Matt Goldman to oversee their debut album’s classes. Sullivan’s Teeth and Toenail debut, Hey, I’m a Ghost, premiered in the springtime of 2006.
