Indian musician Suhail Yusuf Khan has emerged as today’s master from the sarangi, subsequent in the footsteps of his grandfather, sarangi legend Ustad Sabri Khan. His formal schooling for the device began at age eight and he’d play his initial concert just 3 years afterwards. Well-versed in traditional and various other Indian musical customs, Khan provides spent a lot of his profession branching out into various other genres, joining the favorite New Delhi-based fusion rock-band Advaita when he was only a teenager. Within the arriving decade, he continuing to utilize a number of music artists including manufacturer Talvin Singh, rock and roll guitarist Steve Vai, violinist Patsy Reid, accordionist Hannah Adam, and U.K. folksinger Adam Yorkston. In 2016, Khan became a member of Yorkston and jazz dual bassist Jon Thorne to create the collaborative trio Yorkston/Thorne/Khan. The group produced its debut on Domino Information with Everything Sacred in the springtime of that season. The trio quickly came back the following season using its follow-up LP, Neuk Wight Delhi All-Stars.
