The NEW YORK alt-rock quintet Sugarsmack is led by vocalist Wish Nicholls, who was simply previously an associate of roots rockers Fetchin Bone fragments (issuing a string of albums that became favorites of college radio through the past due ’80s). Following the group’s separation, Nicholls created Sugarsmack with her partner/guitarist Aaron Pitkin, enlisting percussionist Deanna Gonzales, drummer John Adamian, and second guitarist Chris Chandek to circular out the music group. Sugarsmack released their debut recording, Best Loader, in 1993 on Chicago’s Invisible label, while a sophomore recording, Tank Top Town, noticed the light of day time in 1998 (which also became their major-label debut for Sire).
