Sugar + the Hi-Lows

Sugars + the Hi-Lows may be the collaborative task fronted by Nashville vocalist/songwriters Trent Dabbs and Amy Stroup. Dabbs is definitely originally from Jackson, Mississippi and was raised hearing the spirit and Motown information in his father’s collection. He trained himself to try out acoustic guitar; Jeff Buckley’s music influenced him to start out writing tunes. In university, he is at a band known as Kelly Wingate that produced three albums. He released his 1st solo album, FREQUENTLY, in 2005, soon before shifting to Nashville. Since that time, he’s released five even more albums by himself Ready Arranged label — What’s Golden Over Ground, 10 years Fades, Your Part Now, Changeover, and Southerner. Southerner was within the digital set of Greatest Indie Designer Albums of 2011. Dabbs offers placed tunes on Grey’s Anatomy, One Tree Hill, Vampire Diaries, and additional Television shows. He’s also created songs for additional Nashville pop performers, including Amy Stroup. He a founding person in the collective Ten Out of Tenn, which includes included Butterfly Boucher and Gabe Dixon in its rates. Stroup was created in Boston and relocated around the united states with her family members, getting in Nashville when she was 18. She’s classically educated on piano and examined classical electric guitar at Lipscomb School. While she was still in university, she caused manufacturer Nathan Chapman. Her initial record, Chasing Greenlights, arrived in 2006. After graduation, she began co-writing with other youthful performers, including Dabbs. Her second record, The Other Aspect of Love Periods, premiered in 2011. The music from her albums have already been used in many indie movies and on advertisements and Television shows, including Parenthood and Gray’s Anatomy. Stroup and Dabbs began co-writing for Television shows in a method Dabbs known as “Large Mellow,” but as their cooperation evolved, they started writing more lively pop-oriented tunes aswell. They began Glucose + the Hi-Lows to record their upbeat mixture of pop, folk, spirit, rock and roll, gospel, rockabilly, and R&B. They slice the album’s simple tracks in a single day and earned drummer Ian Fitchuck, guitarist Kyle Ryan, and bass participant Adam Popick to flesh out their contemporary/retro audio. The eponymous record premiered on ROMANTIC DAYS CELEBRATION in 2012.
