Sue Evans

Sue Evans offers provided percussive support for jazz and pop groupings, in addition to instrumentalists and vocalists. She’s performed conventional snare drums and different percussion equipment. Evans examined with Warren Smith and Sonny Igoe, and graduated in the SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL of Music and Artwork in 1969. She toured European countries and America being a drummer with Judy Collins in the late ’60s before middle-’70s, while also touring and documenting with Gil Evans being a percussionist from 1969 until 1982. Through the ’70s, Evans caused Steve Kuhn as well as the Jazz Composer’s Orchestra under Roswell Rudd, while she used Michael Franks, Suzanne Vega and Tony Bennett within the ’80s. She’s documented with Bobby Jones, George Benson, Urbie Green and Artwork Farmer within the ’70s, and Morgana Ruler within the ’80s. Evans does not have any sessions being a head, but could be noticed on many CDs offering Gil Evans, Benson, Green, Farmer and Ruler among others.
