An alias for Thomas Barnett (b. c.1967), who once held straight down per day job alongside Chez Damier, a pal of Juan Atkins and Derrick May, who had recorded for the previous’s KMS label. Through these cable connections Barnett fulfilled May and documented ‘Nude Image’ with him for Transmat (as Rhythim Is certainly Rhythim). The duo dropped out when Barnett received no monies for the monitor and his name vanished in the credits. After falling out and employed in his very own home-studio he re-emerged on Infonet Information with the Water Poetry EP. He also proved helpful for the Dutch label Perfect, putting out a couple of ‘Nude Image’ remixes. Some EPs then your Synthetic Dream record followed, a collection overshadowed with the poverty he was suffering from while documenting it, that is noticeable throughout its challenging, remorseless grooves.
